About Us VIEW OUR PORTFOLIO
All Systems Color was founded in 1989 as a prepress systems integrator to the graphic arts industry. At that time, most typesetting was still done on bulky photocomposition machines; designers were billed by the word. Prices for analog scanners exceeded six figures, and proprietary systems made by Scitex handled retouching chores. Printers used giant cameras to shoot mechanicals tediously created from galleys with razors and glue. Our founders saw the potential of the new technology of Apple MacIntosh, Aldus Pagemaker, and Adobe Photoshop — and the desktop publishing revolution was born. Not only did we install and integrate the new equipment, we trained staff on a complete process of digital workflow. Our reputation for excellence grew as we served more and more customers.

In 1997, George Dick, president of Four Colour Imports, Ltd. of Louisville, Kentucky (already a customer for several years), purchased our company to speed the production process for printing color books overseas. With the installation of newer equipment (always a challenge where technology changes rapidly), his vision took our company to the next level. We quickly established ourselves as the leader in scanning and prepress exclusively dedicated to the needs of high quality color book publishers and graphic arts professionals.

Today, we continue as the experts in digital color management, insuring that files and proofs created here will print true to color anywhere in the world. We've calibrated and profiled our systems, installed the latest and most cost effective digital proofing and printing equipment, and maintained a level of personal service and technical support unavailable anywhere else. In a world where printing technologies shift like the winds of foreign trade, there is no substitute for experience. Experience All Systems Colour today.
